My Keying

Bug_hist

This is a very preliminary result for my keying with a bug key. The histogram shows the duration of my dots, dashes and spaces.

Bug_abc

The figure shows the key down signal from a bugkey. Chatter is removed by signal processing. You will see the patterns for letters “a”, “b”, “c”, “d”, etc.

Bug_abc2

The same with the extended timescale. You see the letter “a” and the dash of the letter “b”, and the duration of both Low and High states are:
Low: 20 (dot of A),
High: 33 (space),
Low: 104 (dash of A),
High: 97 (letter space),
Low: 95 (dash of B).
And all these numbers will make the histogram shown at the top of the page.

The largest value in the histogram is 215, which you will find at the letter space between “l” and “m”, the last two letters in the key down signal.
